# Display

Display is one of the most versatile media channels available, using banner formats based on IAB standards across websites and mobile apps. These ads, whether static or animated, offer both broad reach and precise targeting options thanks to programmatic advertising. Display formats are designed to connect with your audience through engaging visuals right where they browse, scroll, and explore.

**Available formats:**

* **Interstitial:** Full-page ads that appear during transitions between content, capturing attention without being intrusive. *Example: A full-screen ad that pops up when moving from one webpage to the next.*
* **Banner:** Classic rectangular ads typically found at the top or sides of a webpage, perfect for high-visibility messaging. *Example: A horizontal banner at the top of a website promoting a new product.*
* **Page takeover & skin ads:** Immersive ads that transform the entire page or its borders, creating a striking visual experience. *Example: A webpage where the whole background features an advertisement, such as for a movie release.*
* **Rich media:** Interactive ads featuring video, animation, or other engaging elements to encourage interaction. *Example: A display ad that expands to play a video or includes clickable, interactive components.*
* **Native:** Seamlessly designed ads that blend into the surrounding content, offering a non-disruptive experience. *Example: A promoted article or product recommendation integrated into a news site.*

**Targeting strategies supported:** Contextual, retail, behavioral, demographic, and geographic

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.happydemics.com/methodology/media-formats-and-targeting-strategies/media-channels-and-formats/display.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
